A multi-academy trust in the UK, responsible for several secondary schools, faced a growing technology crisis. Their reliance on traditional, on-site computer labs was creating significant educational and operational challenges.

The Digital Divide:
Students from lower-income families with less powerful personal devices could not run essential curriculum software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CAD software), creating a significant learning disadvantage compared to their peers.

The Trust partnered with EUC to transition to our Azure Virtual Desktop Managed Service. We designed and deployed a centralized AVD environment that could stream any application to any student, on any device, including low-cost Chromebooks and tablets.

As part of our managed service, we handle all aspects of the environment: 24/7 monitoring, security patching, application updates, and user support. This provides the Trust with a predictable, per-user monthly cost and completely offloads the day-to-day operational burden from their internal IT team. We also implemented robust safeguarding controls to ensure a secure learning environment for all students.
